ARJ is a compress/uncompress program. It is available on several ftp-sites. One example is: dorm.rutgers.edu in the drawer /pub/DOS_Uncompress. The file is named arj.exe.

It all depends on what surround system you have. I have an early model
surround sound system (circa 1989), and it basically something that
enhances the depth of the stereo sound to make it sound like you are
immersed by the sound. However, if you have a system that uses the Dolby
Pro Logic surround sound, you can actually direct sounds to specific
speaker(s). I think it is Front/Left, Front/Right, Rear/Left, Rear/Right,
Front/Center, Surround (Front & Rear), and all the various combinations of
these. Ususally the Pro Logic code is embedded within the audio source
being played back. My friend has a Pro Logic decoder in his amplifier, and
when we play back some Pro Logic encoded Laser Dics, you get the full
surround effect.
Try out Second Reality on your stereo. It has some surround sound at the
the very start (albeit, not very much)....I don't think they used Pro
